         Si près et si différent de la côte belge !  /  So closed and so different to the belgian coast ! 

              
     A marée basse, la mer est si loin qu'on a l'impression que les bateaux sont minuscules 
     et voguent sur le sable.
     A marée haute, sur toute cette énorme surface la profondeur n'excède pas les 50 cm.
      At low tide, the sea is so far away that you've got a feeling that the tiny boats are sailing on the sand
      At high tide, in all this huge area, the depth does'nt exceed 50 cm.

                          
     Il doit bien y avoir deux kilomètres à parcourir à marée basse avant d'atteindre le bord de mer.
    A cet endroit se trouve un parc à moules de bouchots. Ailleurs, des gens ramassent des coques.
    Nous en avons nous aussi ramené quelques kilos : c'est bien meilleur que les moules !
    I think there must be about 2 kilometers walking to reach the sea at low tide. At this place there is a mussel
     farm. In some other places, people are picking up cockles. We also collected some kilograms of these shells.
     It is far better tasting than mussels !
